Amicalola Hiking and Wildlife Trail/Edge of the World Swimming Hole:

1. From Atlanta: Take GA 400 north, to just past the N. Georgia Premium Outlets, then take RT 53 west (left) toward Dawsonville. Go through Dawsonville on RT 53 west about 6 miles outside of Dawsonville (13 miles from GA 400) the road crosses the Amicalola River.  The parking area is just south of the highway, follow the green sign the entrance to the walking trail. The rapids (Edge of the World) are about a ten minute walk on the sandy, level trail, the walk down to the trail itself is steep and rocky but once on the trail itself the hike is perfect for beginners.

Appalachian Outfitters - Etowah and Chestatee River Kayaking/Tubing:

1. From Atlanta: Take GA Hwy 400 North until it ends approximately one hour from I-285.  Turn left onto GA Hwy 60, towards Dahlonega. The Canoe Outpost which is the launch for the Chestatee River Trip is 3.5 miles on the left, turn in at the River Trips sign (it is hard to see so at 3 miles slow down put on your turn signal and start looking to the left).  This is also where you will get in the van for the ten minute drive to the launch site for the Etowah River Trip. 

   The Tubing Outpost is about 100 meters up the road also on the left after the Canoe Outpost – for this turn in at the sign that says Tubing Trips

Davidson-Arabia Mountain Nature Preserve/Hiking/Mountain Biking Trails:

1. From Atlanta: Take interstate 20 East (approximately 16 miles outside of Atlanta), to the Evans Mill Road exit  - Exit 74 toward Lithonia.  Turn righ on Evans Mill Road, then stay straight on tow Woodrow Drive for about a mile, turn right on to Klondike Road.  Follow Klondike Road approximately 1 mile and the Davidson- Arabia Mountain Hiking and Mountain Biking Trails are on your right.  Another mile down the road on the left is the Mountain Hiking Trail.  Address: 3787 Klondike Road, Lithonia, GA  30038

Dauset Trails Nature Center/Hiking/Mountain Biking Trail:

1. From Atlanta:  Take Interstate75 south to Exit 201 Jackson/Banesville.  Turn left and follow Hwy 36 toward Jackson for approximately 2.5 miles to High Falls Road.  Turn right on High Falls Road (there are signs for Dauset, High Falls, Indian Springs and Ridgeway Christmas Tree Farm) for about 2 miles and turn left onto Vernon Ch. Road.  Dauset Trails is 3.3 miles on the left.  The entrance to the mountain biking and some hiking trails are about 20 feet before the Nature center on the left. The Fudge Factory:

1. From Atlanta: Take GA Hwy 400 North until it ends approximately one hour from I-285.  Turn left onto GA Hwy 60, towards Dahlonega.  Follow Hwy 60 into Dahlonega.  The Fudge Factory is located on the corner as you are coming into the downtown area.

   From the Amicalola Hiking Trail/Edge of the World:  Take RT 53 East until it junctions with RT 9.  Follow RT 9 to Dahlonega from this direction the Fudge Factory is on the second corner after entering downtown.

Broadway Diner:

1. From Atlanta:  Take Interstate75 south to Exit 228 Stockbridge.  Turn left onto Hwy 138 for approximately half a mile and Broadway Diner is on the left.

Little Mountain Golf Club:

1. From Atlanta:  Take Interstate75 south to Exit 228 Stockbridge.  Turn left onto Hwy 138 follow Hwy 138 for approximately 10 miles until it intersect with Hwy 155.  Turn left onto Hwy 155 North for approximately 2 miles.  Little Mountain Golf Course is on the right in Ellenwood, GA.

High Falls Campground/Hiking/Mountain Biking Trails:

1. From Atlanta:  Take Interstate75 south to Exit 198 High Falls Road, Turn left on High Falls Road for approximately 1.5 miles.  Turn left onto High Falls Park Drive.

Lake Lanier Campground:

1. From Atlanta:  Take Interstate 85 North to Exit 113 (on the left) to Interstate 985 toward Gainesville for 8 miles.  Take Exit 8 toward GA 347/Lake Lanier, turn left onto Friendship Road for approximately 1.5 miles.  Friendship Road becomes GA 347 follow for 2.5 miles, then stay straight on Holiday Road.  Address: 6950 Holiday Road, Buford, GA.
