TM 600.88 Course Objectives

Upon the successful completion of this course, you should be able to:

• describe the strategic management of technology
• illustrate the various views of technology in an organization
• develop a criteria-based evaluation of technology alternatives
• understand the management of innovation as a process
• explain alternative approaches to the development of technologies.

Beyond the effective delivery of course content, this class will also serve as a test for the delivery approach. Therefore, a secondary objective is to evaluate the merits of an Internet-based course and identify areas for improvement.
