Professor John R. Miller came to Mercer after 10 years in the corporate world. His corporate experience includes service as a staff Industrial Engineer, Inventory Manager, and Consultant for the firm of Booze, Allen and Hamilton. He has been at Mercer for over 30 years, but stays current with what is going on in the corporate world through consulting.
His major interests are quantitative and financial analysis of business problems. Most of his consulting consists of analysis of the worth of lost income in death and injury cases. A special area of interest is time value of money. He teaches a course in Capital Budgeting that uses a set of lecture notes that he authored as the textbook. |
