B.S., Florida Southern College

Dr. Nancy Jay is Associate Professor of Finance and has Ph.D. and M.B.A. degrees from The University of Central Florida, Orlando, and her B.S. degree from Florida Southern College, Lakeland, FL.  She served on the faculty of Gannon University prior to joining the faculty of Mercer University’s Stetson School of Business and Economics in the fall of 1996. In addition to her academic credentials, Dr. Jay brings to the classroom extensive corporate experience with General Mills/Red Lobster.  A list of Dr. Jay’s recently published articles includes: Journal of Financial Planning, “A Returns-Based Style Analysis Examination of Asset Classes”;  Journal of Economics and Business, “An Examination of the Performance of SEOs Using a Comparison Period Approach”, and Journal of Banking and Finance, “Is the Performance of Firms Following Seasoned Equity Issues Anomalous.”
