Governor of Chang Sha. Sun Jian claimed to be the descendant of the famous Sun Tzu, who wrote The Art of War. His military career started early, becoming famous for defeating a band of pirates at age 17. He was part of the Alliance against Dong Zhuo, and it was during this time that he found the Imperial Seal in a well. However, when Yuan Shao asked him about it, Sun Jian lied and said "If I have this jewel and am hiding it myself, may my end be unhappy and my death violent!", which ultimately came true. He died during an attack on Liu Baio, hit on the head by a huge rock.
