Ph.D., Florida State University M.P.A., University of Texas at Austin B.S., University of Alabama Dr. C. Terry Grant is a Professor of Accounting, Stetson School of Business & Economics, Mercer University, Atlanta. Dr. Grant earned a Ph.D. in Accounting from Florida State University, a Master in Professional Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the University of Alabama at Tuscaloosa. He is a CPA, licensed in Colorado. He is the recipient of several awards, including the 2007 Outstanding Faculty Award for the College of Business & Economics, California State University, Fullerton, the Teaching Innovation Award for the College of Business at the University of Southern Mississippi, and the Taylor Award for Outstanding Research at the United States Air Force Academy. Dr. Grant has received three best paper awards at academic research conferences. He has published over twenty-five articles in professional and academic journals. He served as an Associate Editor of the Journal of Cost Analysis & Management and on the Editorial Board of Issues in Accounting Education. He served as a consultant to the White House Council of Economic Advisors (April 2002) for accounting for stock options, and to the Finance Editor of Strategic Finance (July 2002) for Standard & Poor’s measurement “Core Earnings.” Dr. Grant has held leadership positions in the American Accounting Association Western region serving as program chair in 2006-2007 and as vice-president in 2007-2008.
