This assignment serves many pedagogical purposes:

1. To add to your understanding of the particular aspects of strategic management.
2. To exercise your critical thinking skills and your ability to perform a criteria-based evaluation of a management publication.
3. To provide additional opportunity to practice and improve your professional communication skills
4. To encourage you to pursue lifelong learning.

The report has two elements.  The written part should be prepared in a one-page executive summary and address the following elements:

• Book Overview
• Key Concepts/Relation to Course Material
• Criteria-based Evaluation
• Complete Citation

The second element is a oral presentation to the class.   You are encouraged to be creative.  The time allotment will be determined by the class.  At a minimum, you must hand out the executive summary to the class.

Your grade will be based on the completeness, clarity and conciseness of the report and presentation and the effectiveness of your presentation.
