Assistant Professor, Mercer University, Stetson School of Business and Economics.

Teaching primarily MBA level tax and managerial accounting courses.   Responsible for all administrative, advising, and marketing duties related to an MBA program with over 400 enrolled students.

Assistant Professor, Troy State University, Department of Accounting and Finance

Courses taught include MBA Managerial Accounting, Tax Research, Estate and Gift Tax, Governmental Accounting, and Principles of Accounting. Other non-teaching accomplishments include serving on a committee which was instrumental in selecting and implementing A/V presentation systems in the College of Business classrooms; receiving two Instructional Improvement Grants to develop expertise in authoring computer based tutorials; and incorporating computer technology into the accounting masters level classes.

Financial Consultant (self employed)

I performed a variety of services for individuals and organizations during this period, including accounting, tax and systems consulting.  One major project was to install accounting systems for nonprofit institutions in an effort to produce uniform reporting for United Way Agencies.

1980-1986  

Federal Express Corporation.

From my initial position as a Tax Accountant, I was rapidly promoted to Senior Manager in the corporate Tax Department (1982), supervising a staff of three professionals.   I managed the state income tax compliance and planning function for the parent company.  In 1984, I was selected to be Senior Manager of Tax and Administration for the Electronic Products Division.  In addition to ensuring Federal and state compliance for the division, I also managed the accounting administration and inventory control function.  I supervised a staff of seven employees.
